July is always a busy month because three of the biggest divas in my family celebrate their birthday. My cousin (who is actually my niece), her mother (who is actually my cousin) and yours truly. This year was no exception and us cancerians were deemed more demanding, daring (in asking for what we wanted) and well, more diva-ish than ever.
The festivities began on the 11th of July which saw my beautiful niece's 11th birthday. Apparently shyness
isn't a trait our family shares with one another as she demanded asked my sister and I to immediately
purchase for her the High School Musical DVD, Art Supplies & a Pony. Sure the first two were fine;
but what is it with little girls wanting a pony?... We celebrated her birthday at my house this year and
it was cool to hang out with my relatives after not seeing them all in one place for such a long time. It
was also weird that all the cousins came unattached; not a boyfriend,girlfriend or husband in sight.

Thursday the 13th was the cousins and my birthday, we kept it low key because we had been planning a surprise party for my cousin - since she was turning a landmark
age hehe. She must have felt so sad thinking we had nothing planned for her big day - and I felt equally sad having to relinquish all the birthday thunder to
her haha. On Friday night we made up a pathetic exuse to 'celebrate' our birthday at my other cousins apt in the city. We sipped on champagne (which never fails
to give me a bad stomach the next day), watched foxtel, learned Texas Hold'em and played Disney DVD Trivial Pursuit (my very thoughful gift from Ron hehe). We left
her place about 3:30am feeling grogged up and tired knowing we had to wake up early the next day to set up the party. Long story short even her 5 year old mummy's
boy kid managed to keep the surprise for a whole month. cute. Check out the slideshow
I made for her. funny.
We held it in Chillout Karaoke in St Mary's which is a lovely little Filipino karoke restaurant owned by Ellen and Bong. The food is delish. Fun was had, drinks
were drunk, dudes were drunk and songs were sung.
Look! Even Ron sang a song for me, but I later found that he actually sang it for Juan - a Filipino song no less. haha. Even the Elvis wannabe didn't ruin his
song by plucking random strings on his electric guitar - what was that all about?
